Henderson Farm is located in New Sharon, Maine on the banks of the Sandy River. We are also affiliated with Mainstone Farm, in Wayland, Massachusetts. We are a grass based operation. Our cows are fed only pasture, hay and haylage that is made on our farm. The cattle have a free supply of water, salt and minerals and are free to roam the pastures year round, but have housing available to them at all times, if they choose to use it.
Our animals do not receive growth hormones at all and antibiotics, only when the last resort and they never make it into the food chain. Since our animals are eating what they are meant to eat, grass and only grass or grass products, they remain healthier and happier.
On our fields in Maine and Massachusetts, we use sustainable agriculture practices, which helps to benefit the animals and the environment.
